What Amy Tan says about Babos Shoes

What Amy Tan says about Babos Shoes

When Amy Tan, author of best seller The Joy Luck Club writes an review of Babos:

These were instantly comfortable the first time I put them on. A friend said that in the slipper style , the shoes looks very elegant. The soft leather and bottom of the shoe makes it great for long walks. And the lightness of the shoe makes them ideal for packing because space in carry-on only luggage is limited. In short, these shoes with its convertible styles are my choice for an upcoming stay in NYC and Paris. They’ll be perfect for a dressy reception and dinner, long 6 - 10 mile walks across the city and through parks, and informal occasions in casual clothes.

Tips for starting your own shoe business

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. START: Just start! Try putting your product or service “out there” and learn from the reaction.
  2. RUN: Learn from your sales- why did they purchase, what appealed to them and how can you replicate that?
  3. GROW: invest in what can generate more revenue, be it products or systems. Keep your brain fresh to find new opportunists, and delegate or outsource tasks that take you away from that mindset.

What is the history of Babouche shoes?

What is the history of Babouche shoes?

The French word “babouche” describes a flat Moroccan slipper so soft that you can flatten part that would cover your heel, and wear it under your feet.  Deeper research reveals the word is Persian in origin, from “Papush”, Persian پاپوش‎  with the “pa” referring to “foot”.

Shout Out LA introduces Ce Ce Chin on Vision Quest shoes

Hi Ce Ce, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
I don’t believe one needs to write a business plan in the traditional sense. Unless someone, an investor perhaps, has asked for one. And even the most important thing to know is the break even number, when your business will break even against the initial investment, and how many sales, or how much revenue is needed to break even.  Read more here.
